A PERSONAL MESSAGE FROM BILL HANSEN

THE TIGHT 2008 ELECTION

Cycles to the U.S. Declaration of Independence chart are particularly revealing concerning the tight Democratic race between Clinton and Obama. Hillary was on a role in the first three months of the year. Mars turned direct on Jan. 30 and triggered Venus (women). This was followed by a solar eclipse near the U.S. Moon (women) on Feb. 6. She lost more delegates in Feb. to Obama but maintained a lead in the popular. Her spirits were up in March as Mars aspected Venus on the 12th and Jupiter on the 20th, followed by Neptune joining the U.S. Moon on the 25th.

April was a turning-point for both candidates astrologically. Mars joined the U.S. Sun on the 5th and Uranus aspected Mars on the 25th. The Sun and Mars both signify males. Obama surged ahead and talk was that he would secure the Democratic nomination.

Transiting Neptune turned retrograde on May 26 and triggered the Moon. This means a woman (Moon) pulls back (retrograde). Peaking on Jun. 2 Uranus opposed the U.S. Neptune and Mars opposed the Moon on the 20th. This can be interpreted as disappointment for a woman. Signs of hopelessness and a lost cause are also indicated. Hillary declared her run over on Saturday June 7, although the decision had been made days before.

July and August are very interesting in that Neptune, Saturn, and the Moon are all being aspected by retrograde transits. A woman is prominent but hesitant to give the go ahead. Is Hillary or another female being considered as a running mate? An elderly person represented by Saturn (McCain) is unsure or stumbles - a political mistake is made. The August lunar eclipse falls within 2-degrees of the U.S. Moon! The female voting block will be heard; the people will speak. Both candidates will seriously consider a female running mate in Aug. if not in July.

Fast forward to November. Neptune goes direct on Nov. 2 and triggers the Moon. Mars aspects the Moon on the 6th. The previous lunar eclipse is triggered on the 16th and this eclipse fell close to the U.S. Moon. This is a triple lunar influence! Therefore, whoever picks a female running mate will win the election, or the election will turn on the female vote. The zodiacal aspects (planet aspects in the heavens) also reveal a great deal about the election. Saturn opposition Uranus peaks on Nov. 4. Saturn is an old person, a conservative (McCain); Uranus represents someone new, radical, a force of change (Obama). Amazing! Also peaking on the 4th is Mars square Neptune - man against woman, or warrior (McCain) against an unknown (Obama).
